Taming The Star Runner by: S.E. Hinton

The book Taming The Star Runner, by S.E. Hinton is a book about a guy who did not get along with his step father and got so outragiously mad and nearly killed him. In order to stay out of trouble his uncle offered to take him in. Through out this book the troubled teen realizes life does not have to be as hard as it had been. Little did every one know this teen has a soft side, he writes. He actualy wrote a very good book and sent it to a publisher, and they liked it to. The moral of this story is how him helping out at a barn "Taming The Star Runner" helped him realize that he was not the person he wanted to be. And he would change that. I believe that S.E. Hinton uses a very strong way to write, it just captures my attention. I believe every one should read these books. It will change the way you think of other books.

Torch Red by: Melody Carlson

The book Torch Red, by Melody Carlson is a book about the life of a typical teenager in high school. In this book Several young teens are faced with many decisions, like weather to give in to peer pressure. This ranges from having sex with their boy friends, to just ditching your friend for your boy friends at the basket-ball game. All through out this book the kids are hurting one another mentaly and physically By like stabbing each other in the backs to spreading STD's. I personaly think every one should read this book, it might just open your eyes to how dangerous the real world is. In reality your boy friend or significant other might try to take advantage of you just like what happen to one of these girls in this book. Can you handle that?I sure hope so. Read this book it will change you as a person.

Runt by Marrion Dane Bauer

In Runt, a book by Marrion Dane Bauer, it basically is about how the wolf cub Runt looks up to his father but his father does not appreciate him. Through out this book the wolf cub Runt struggles to learn the ways of the wild along side his brothers and sisters. Therefore Runt makes some mastakes, some not so big and others that cost one of his older closest siblings there life. Soon after he realizes that he will never measure up to anything they need in the pack, he begins to drift off. He starts to hang out eith a wolf that has been feeding off cows at a local farm, and diecides if he brings some home, his family will have to love him. Therefore he was wrong again, they dispized him for going near humans. At this point his family is so hungary because they can not catch any thing big enough to feed them all, so soon enough he decides it would be best if he just goes off on his own and there he did. On his way he spotted a moose that was all beatin up just waiting to die. So Runt started howling to his family, "Moose I have found a Moose!" And the reply he gets back from his father is stunning, "Singer, Singer my Son." He begins to realize his father had large exspectations from him and without a push he would not ever reach them. I personaly like this book and would recomend it to everyone. It can just touch someone, and it will never leave them.
