Runt by Marrion Dane Bauer
In Runt, a book by Marrion Dane Bauer, it basically is about how the wolf cub Runt looks up to his father but his father does not appreciate him. Through out this book the wolf cub Runt struggles to learn the ways of the wild along side his brothers and sisters. Therefore Runt makes some mastakes, some not so big and others that cost one of his older closest siblings there life. Soon after he realizes that he will never measure up to anything they need in the pack, he begins to drift off. He starts to hang out eith a wolf that has been feeding off cows at a local farm, and diecides if he brings some home, his family will have to love him. Therefore he was wrong again, they dispized him for going near humans. At this point his family is so hungary because they can not catch any thing big enough to feed them all, so soon enough he decides it would be best if he just goes off on his own and there he did. On his way he spotted a moose that was all beatin up just waiting to die. So Runt started howling to his family, "Moose I have found a Moose!" And the reply he gets back from his father is stunning, "Singer, Singer my Son." He begins to realize his father had large exspectations from him and without a push he would not ever reach them. I personaly like this book and would recomend it to everyone. It can just touch someone, and it will never leave them.
